オーストラリア移住計画~まずはアデレードより’07

ラタトュイユ -Ratatouille-

Soshi宅へのお土産に作ったラタトュイユは、トマトと夏野菜をたくさん入れて煮込んだもの。絶対ワインを飲むだろうから、ワインに合うもの。Soshiは野菜不足では?今日は暑いから、さっぱりしたもの。⇒ラタトュイユに決定!
Chanshinはラタトュイユ知らなかったけど、とても気に言ってくれてお姉ちゃんに作ってあげたいと言うので久々にレシピ記事アップです。でも、Chanshin用に英語です。レシピを英語で書くのは授業以来で久々。英語間違ってるかもしれないけど。。。

ラタトュイユ -Ratatouille-_f0128516_21404049.jpgINGREDIENTS:
Olive Oil
Onion, cut into 3cm pieces
Garlic clove, crushed
Eggplant (aubergine),
 cut into 3cm pieces
Green Bell Pepper(capsicum),
 cut into 3cm squares
Red Bell Pepper(capsicum),
 cut into 3cm squares
Carrot, sliced into 1.5cm rounds
Zucchini (courgette),
 sliced into 1.5cm rounds
Can chopped or whole tomatoes
Fresh Tomatoes, roughly chopped
Bay Leaves
Dried Thyme
Salt, Freshly Ground Black Pepper
Dry White Wine
And I used Verjuice(Maggie Beer's) for vinegar.

Method:
1. HEAT the olive oil in a large saucepan over a medium heat.
2. ADD garlic and cook for 30sec. ADD all ingredients, except the can tomatoes &
  fresh tomatoes, and cook. Uncovered for 10mins.
3. ADD the can tomatoes and squash. Cover and reduce the heat to low.
  Simmer for 20mins.
4. Uncovered a simmer for a further 20mins or until tender,
  stirring every 5mins.
5. ADD fresh tomatoes and cook3mins.
6. Finally, ADD salt & pepper to taste and it's ready!

Serving suggestions:
Ratatouille is served hot or cold.
It can be served with some crusty bread or pasta or rice.
I strongly recommend you to eat cold Ratatouille in summer!!
